This was one of the best surf camps I've ever been to! The location is great, you can just grab a board and walk down to the beach. Great for solo travellers and groups. The camp has a great vibe and the food is very good

This was one of the best surf camps I've ever been to! The location is great, you can just grab a board and walk down to the beach. The surf instructors are really motivated and helpful, I feel like I learned more than in any other surf camp! The hostel is nice and clean and especially as a solo traveller it is easy to make friends and get into contact with other people. The rooms are nice and clean and the food is amazing, I never had such good meals in a hostel! :) I'm pretty sure that I will be back next year!

I loved my stay at Rapture, as a solo traveller I felt welcomed into the family. Everyone is kind and will help you out if you ask for it, the staff really make the place feel special. The camp vibe is fantastic and you can meet lots of different people but also have quiet time if you feel like you need it. The food is brilliant and nutritious. I loved the surfing, sometimes it can be busy in the water but the instructors from 3 Surfers will do their best to make sure you are safe. I’ll definitely be back or visit another Rapture without hesitation. Thanks everyone!

We had a very good experience at the camp. Friendly staff, fresh, home-cooked food, relaxed atmosphere. Walking distance to the surf beach with good restaurants and Ericeira is easy to reach too. What could be improved are the surf lessons - surf teachers should be on time for the lessons and should have planned who is teaching whom beforehand; was a little chaotic. Moreover, quality of teaching varies depending on what teacher teaches that day. What would be great for the beginner lessons is warming up/theory/dry run all together before going into the water. Moreover, they work with a "McDrive" system: everyone has to wait at the beach, then when it's the turn walk to the teacher in the water (which takes quite some time if the waves are strong), do one round back to the beach and wait again. Very inefficient. It would be much more efficient (as do some other surf camps) if people could stay in the water and do supervised self-practice after being shown the technique.

It was my second time at rapture surfcamp and it was an amazing time again. The staff is very friendly and helps with all questions right away, especially everything regarding surfing. I stayed this time in the sea view dorm and can recommend it 100%. Each bed is equipped with an own poweroutlet and a curtain to keep the privacy. Besides the view is fantastic. I’m already looking forward to stay with you again. Cheers!

I stayed with Rapture last year & will go back again in a couple of weeks! The vibe at the camp is relaxed & fun, the people are easy going and the facilities are just what you need to be surfing & staying near the beach. Nothing super fancy but chill, which I like! The instructors are really helpful and take good care of you in the water and with the right amount of effort you can improve well with them! See you soon again, Rapture!

I've been to 3 surf camps so far this year and had the best experiences ever! This one was not worth the money. I stayed with my partner in a private room and it was very basic and uncomfortable. The furniture was old and the mattress fell through the bed frame if I moved at night so I would sink to the ground. I mentioned this to the staff and nobody followed up to help. The shared bathroom was very dirty which is fine for the right price but for what we paid the cleanliness was really low. I also think for $140/night we should have gotten towels to shower with. Or at least have the option to rent them. We dried off with a beach blanket all week. The breakfast was really good and we enjoyed it! The dinner wasn't good and felt like cheap food you eat in university just to get full. There wasn't much of a vibe at the camp so overall it is not worth the money. They offer people a discount on their next stay to leave a 5 star review which explains all the good reviews.
